Apprentice Service Engineer
Travelling to customer sites and assisting with job preparation and risk assessments Supporting installation of lifts, brake testers, and other garage equipment Carrying out servicing, inspections, and basic fault-finding under supervision Learning electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnostic skills Completing job sheets, maintaining tools, and logging apprenticeship training hours
The role involves early starts, regular travel, and working alongside a senior engineer to gain hands-on technical experience while following strict safety procedures.
The role is practical, varied, and physically demanding, offering strong progression into a fully qualified Garage Equipment Engineer.
Training:
You will attend day release each week at Shrewsbury College London Road campus with the remainer of the working week being with RMT Automotive Services
Training Outcome:
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship RMT are offering progression into a senior engineer / team leader role as a fully qualified Garage Equipment Engineer

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 7.30pm - 5.00pm but can be flexible.
