HR Administrator Apprentice
You'll receive structured training and dedicated supervision to support your learning and professional growth. The role will focus on a range of HR-related tasks, clinical templates, locum cover coordination and annual leave administration for staff. Five days a week will be spent working on-site, one day per week will be dedicated to apprenticeship study, providing protected time to complete coursework, attend training and develop the knowledge and skills required for the qualification.
You will support day-to-day HR administrative tasks, helping ensure the smooth running of services.
Tasks will include:
Maintaining accurate HR records Supporting clinical templates Assisting with locum cover and rota updates Supporting with annual leave and helping with induction for new starters and temporary staffYou will also support with the preparation of meetings and taking minutes, ensuring compliance and contribute to business continuity documentation related to staffing.
Training:
A 100% tailored training and assessment program will be delivered to support you throughout your Apprenticeship, (14 - 18 months including endpoint assessment) topics covered include:
Business and Customer Awareness Communication Skills Building a team HR legislation HR Functions, roles and plans Systems and processes Service delivery Problem solving Change and improvement techniques HR base data and info Resilience Emotional intelligenceTraining Outcome:
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, the individual will be considered for a full-time HR administrator position within the GP surgery. This role offers a supportive and professional environment where they can continue to grow and thrive. Overtime there will be opportunities to expand their responsibilities and contribute to wider HR initiatives.

Newgate Medical Group is a welcoming and busy GP Practice located in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, providing regulated NHS services to our patients. We are a large Practice with over 30,000 registered patients. We have an established team of 9 GP Partners and a host of varied health professionals including clinicians, receptionists, and large admin team, totalling approximately 80+ employed staff, plus Locum workers.
