Senior Solutions Architect Outside IR35
FPSG have a need for a Senior Solution Architect to join a significant Project, based from London, starting in the coming weeks.
The role has been pre-defined as Outside IR35 and is going to suit a Senior level Solution Architect who is familiar with creating budgets that can range circa £5m.
The initial project will be for a minimum of 6 months and most likely last for well over a year.
You will be responsible for the project level architecture design for solution developments.
As Senior Solution Architect you will communicate the proposed architecture within the project and gain project approval from the project manager, business analyst, development and test teams.
This will ensure that the project level architecture implemented meets the business objectives and technical requirements

• Strong solution architecture skills in architecting business components across software, infrastructure and networks.• Ability to take a loose set of requirements and build a high level architecture using UML.
Refining the architecture as more information is discovered, decisions identified and choices are made.• Proven ability to analyse complex components, identify decision points, draw conclusions and produce architecture roadmaps.• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people within the delivery team including project managers, business analysts, developers, and testers.
Beyond this, it could be advantageous if your career to date has given you knowledge and experience in the following:
• Knowledge of medium business application architectures and component level modularisation techniques such as Service Orientated Architecture (SOA).• Detailed knowledge of software architecture patterns for internal web sites, external web sites, back office transactional systems and workflow engines.• Knowledge of UML including functional decomposition, use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, components and interface design.• Industry knowledge of Information technology trends particularly those within public operations and smart cards.• Degree, or equivalent qualification such as TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework).
