Apprentice Welder/Fabricator

Daily/Weekly Tasks:

Operate and maintain workshop tools, machinery, and equipment under supervision Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of aircraft components Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Support routine inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities Follow strict safety, regulatory, and aerospace manufacturing standards Document work performed and maintain accurate records Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and senior craft professionals  Participate in classroom-based and on the job training modules 

Training:

This is a Level 3 Fitter apprenticeship, delivered over a period of 3 years.

The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Telford, TF3 3AJ, for the first 10 months.

Training Outcome:
This role provides clear progression pathways into skilled roles such as a machinist, fitter, technician, or inspector within the Power & Controls division
