Composites Machining Apprentice

Key Skills to be Developed:

Trained to operate 5 axis CNC mills. You will learn to understand, interpret and manufacture to tight tolerances, from engineering drawings. Ability to use a wide range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques. Understanding manufacturing processes and sequences. Develop professional, positive relationships with all team members, with a focus on working collaboratively with all areas of the Composites Department. Safe working within general Safety, Health and Environmental guidelines with specific attention and working to Departmental Risk Assessments. You will work with a variety of high-grade materials including, epoxy tooling block, aluminium, Titanium and Carbon Fibre. To develop manual skills for the final finishing of components.

Training:

Block release learning at MTC.
