Early Years Educator Apprentice
The apprentice will be expected to support the day-to-day running of the setting, including supervising children, assisting with activities, and maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment.
Duties will include
Supporting toileting and care routines, preparing and tidying resources, assisting with snack and lunch club, and working both indoors and outdoors The role also involves completing paperwork for key children, such as observations, learning journeys, and next steps, contributing to assessments, and following all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality procedures, with guidance and support from experienced staffTraining:
1 day per 2 weeks to take place at Northampton College
Training Outcome:
Abington Vale Playschool supports staff development and progression within early years education. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress to a qualified Early Years Practitioner role, subject to availability Staff are encouraged to continue their professional development through further training and qualifications, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibilities as skills, confidence, and experience grow
