Apprentice Nursery Assistant

Support nursery practitioners in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities Assist with the supervision of children during play, learning, meals, and rest times Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment Encourage children’s social, emotional, physical, and educational development Observe children’s progress and contribute to basic records under supervision Support children with personal care routines, including toileting and hygiene Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies Complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship

Training:
Early Years Practitioner Standard English and maths (if required) Level 2

Training Outcome:

A full-time, permanent position at or above minimum wage.

Employer Description:

Provides high quality Montessori and EYFS education to children between 9 months and 5 years old on the outskirts of Ipswich on a working farm.

Chives Nursery opened in 1989 in a family house in Coddenham Green. There were 8 children registered and as the nursery grew it moved to Crowfield when Carolyn McNeill purchased and registered it as a Chives Montessori School.

In 2004 it moved to its present beautiful location – a self contained school set in its own grounds on a working farm in the hamlet of Akenham. It is a fully Accredited Montessori School (June 2017) and registered as Good by Ofsted (March 2018).

Particular emphasis is placed on Kindness and Respect and every opportunity is provided for each child to strengthen positive attitudes towards themselves, others and to the joy of learning.

Working Hours :
Exact working week and hours to be agreed, but will be between Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
