Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer - Stowmarket

 Design mechanical and electrical drawings as per the project requirements using British/IEC Electrical Network Association (ENA) standards and practices.  Deliver the best value design solutions with the support of the engineering and design team. Support the design lead and project teams in all aspects of design work.   Learn to undertake the technical review process and identify potential issues and solutions.  Learn to use specific software such as AutoCAD, CYMCAP, DigSilent Power Factory, PLS CAD, CDEGS, etc. to carry out your role in accordance with your discipline.  Communicate and build relationships with operational and project teams.  Understand the cost of projects and play your part in managing the design costs.  Understand the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015), Electrical safety/ ESQCR regulations, building/building wiring regulations and legislation to ensure the design of a project meets legal compliance.

Training:

You will attend Leeds College of Building on block release to complete the Level 4 Construction Design and Build Technician apprenticeship and regularly attend in-house training and development in Leeds and Stowmarket as part of the programme.

Training Outcome:

Once qualified there is the potential of a permanent position within the company. If you successful gain a permanent position there are many opportunities to advance your career.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday - shifts between 07:00-17:30pm dependent on project.
