Bricklaying Apprentice

Work on new build and refurbishment projects Projects range from homes to large commercial sites Lay bricks and blocks to drawings and specifications Prepare and use mortar and damp-proof materials Use hand tools and levels to check alignment Work mainly outdoors, often at height Work with site teams and other trades Follow health, safety and environmental standards

Training:
1 day a week attending Hugh Baird College to gain the practical skills and knowledge of the Bricklaying level 2 apprenticeship 4 days in the workplace gaining skills and work experience

Training Outcome:

Potential employment after the apprenticeship dependent on successful completion of the apprenticeship and work-based performance.
