Engineering Operative Apprentice
Recondition engine parts including cylinder heads and engine blocks to a high standard, ready for re-fitment
Operate and assist with workshop machinery such as surface grinders, boring machines, lathes, milling machines and valve grinders
Learn correct measuring, inspection and quality control techniques
Follow engineering drawings, job instructions and specifications
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
Adhere to all health and safety procedures
Work alongside skilled engineers to develop core mechanical and machining skills
Training:
You will attend Hull College for day release once a month.
Training Outcome:
There may be an opportunity for a permanent role of successful completion of the apprenticeship, subject to business needs and budget availability.
Employer Description:
We carry out all aspects of the engineering process like reboring, head skimming, pressure testing, valve grinding, valve seat grinding, crankshaft grinding, helicoiling, broken stud extraction and much more.
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
