Electrical Apprentice

As an Electrical Apprentice for MEICA Technical Services (MTS) Ltd you will work under the direct supervision of our qualified team of electricians.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Learning the fundamentals of electrical systems Assisting in the installation and repair of electrical wiring and equipment Gaining practical experience through our internal training program

Your ongoing college course will also support you in acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to achieve your full qualification.

As our Electrical Apprentices progress in their training, they will take on more complex tasks.

Projects are locally and nationally based. This is a permanent position and will be on a full-time basis (40 hrs p/w basic + travel).

The chosen candidate will be required to have a strong sense of initiative and possess strong multitasking and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior electricians in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures. Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. Help install and maintain lighting systems Assisting with testing and inspection. Work alongside senior electricians to diagnose and repair faulty electrical systems, gaining hands-on experience. Ensure that all work is completed safely, in accordance with industry standards and regulations, learning safety procedures through practical experience. Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings and diagrams Maintain a clean and safe work environment
