Apprentice Quantity Surveyor – Level 6

The apprentice Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial function across multiple projects and will gradually increase responsibility as competence and confidence develop.

Typical duties will include:

Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and financial forecasting for projects Supporting the preparation of tender and procurement documentation Assisting with subcontractor enquiries, comparisons and appointment processes Supporting interim valuations, payment applications and cost reporting Assisting with the management of variations, change control and final accounts Working closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to monitor progress and cost performance Maintaining accurate commercial records and handling commercially sensitive information professionally and confidentially

Training:
Training - Quantity Surveyor - Level 6 Delivered via day release at college Ongoing on-the-job training and mentoring

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the Level 4 Mechanical Project Engineer apprenticeship, the apprentice is expected to progress into a Project Engineer role within Price Building Services.

With continued experience and development, progression opportunities may include:

Taking on increased responsibility across project coordination and delivery Progression into Senior Project Engineer roles Development into Project Management or Engineering Management positions Further professional training and qualifications in building services or project management The apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a long-term career within building services engineering and project delivery
