AAT Finance assistant level 3 apprenticeship in Wattrus Group Solihull

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software   Process sales and purchase invoices  Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable  Perform bank, credit card, and supplier reconciliations  Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with deadlines  Monitor cash flow and support cash flow forecasting   Maintain the general ledger and resolve discrepancies  Assist with month-end procedures and management accounts  Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules   Support year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external accountants   Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls  Maintain financial and accounting records including the timely collation of data from a range of sources.  Safeguard against suspicious activities for example anti-money laundering Deliver financial and accounting information and data to stakeholders to ensure that key messages are communicated Collaborate with people both internally and/or externally at appropriate levels with a view to deliver a service that meets customer’s needs with a commitment to professional and ethical standards  Use digital systems safely to ensure that the cyber security of the organisation is not compromised, and data handling legislative requirements are met 

Training:

Training will be provided by Solihull College and an assessor will be allocated to support you. Coaching in the workplace, on teams as well as scheduled sessions at the Solihull campus and time spent training will be part of the agreed working hours. At the end of your training, you will complete AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, a portfolio of evidence and discussion. 



Training Outcome:

Upon completion of the level 3 assistant accountant apprenticeship there will be the opportunity to progress in your career with Wattrus Group and possibly to AAT level 4 in Finance.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
