Operations Director - 12 Month FTC

We are partnering with a well-established and growing UK manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Operations Director – 12 Month FTC based in Basingstoke to lead and optimise their end-to-end operations. This is a senior leadership role with strong long-term potential.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Director – 12 Month FTC job based in Basingstoke will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient running of all day-to-day operations across the business. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, supporting growth, and maximising profitability.

Key Responsibilities of the Operations Director – 12 Month FTC job based in Basingstoke:

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Ensure compliance across operations including IT, ISO certifications, supply chain, and health & safety. Drive continuous improvement to maximise efficiency, productivity, and quality. Lead the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics. Define, track, and report on KPIs across operational functions. Oversee facilities and physical resources to ensure a safe and effective working environment.

Experience required for the Operations Director – 12 Month FTC job based in Basingstoke:

Extensive experience in a senior operations or leadership role. Strong background in manufacturing, engineering, or electronic components environments. Proven leadership, organisational, and people management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities. Experience managing supply chain, purchasing, warehouse operations, quality standards, and logistics.
