Social Care Leader

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting a Social Care Leader on behalf of a well-established residential childcare provider located in Carlow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social care professional to step into a leadership role within a therapeutic residential setting for young people.

Role Overview

The Social Care Leader provides shift leadership and supports the management team in delivering high quality, trauma informed residential care. The successful candidate will guide staff on shift, ensure care plans are implemented, and promote best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate staff on shiftImplement care, placement and crisis management plansSupport young people’s daily care, education and developmentMaintain accurate records and reportsLiaise with social workers and external professionalsEnsure HIQA and safeguarding standards are metSupport and mentor team members

Essential Requirements

QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or related disciplineMinimum 2 years post-qualification experience with children/young peopleExperience supporting complex and challenging needsLeadership or senior social care experienceKnowledge of trauma-informed practiceEligibility to work in Ireland without the need of sponsorship.Full clean manual driving licence (Ireland)
