Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship
As part of the scheme, you will be balancing part-time university study with practical experience
You will be involved in all aspects of the Project Management process, applying appropriate governance and project management methods and techniques to initiate and execute projects to meet strategic objectives
You will gain an appreciation of programme management techniques and an understanding of how projects are managed within a larger programme
This apprenticeship typically takes 24 months to complete. You will develop a work-based e-portfolio via a combination of workplace experience and one-to-one support in the workplace. Monthly workshops will also take place. After completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will have to skills and experience to become a project management assistant in Network Rail
To widen your skillset in as many areas as possible, you may have the opportunity to take part in planned rotations across several different functions while ongoing your formal training with the university, as well as training by the team you are placed in to help you develop the skills needed for a career with Network Rail
You will generally work Monday to Friday but may find yourself working in a shift pattern, travelling to various sites, and working across a mix of weather conditions whilst always having the health and safety of your colleagues at the forefront of your mind
Training Outcome:
Apprentices may become student members of the Association for Project Management (APM) as the first step of professional membership
