Employer Description:

It all began in April 1898 with the founding of the Rheinisch-Westfälische Elektrizitätswerk as a public company in Essen, Germany. At the end of the 19th century, the use of electricity in agriculture, industry and private households was practically non-existent. However, as RWE’s growth took off, electricity became a big seller that brought prosperity and progress to many generations of people.

Already a pioneer of a growing industrial society back in the day, the Group is now driving the international green energy transition.
