Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Level 2
Always working safely, following health & safety and environmental legislation
Read and interpret engineering drawings, adhering to specified dimensions and tolerances
Rotate through the Profiling, Material Prep, Folding and quality departments
Use a wide variety of precision measuring equipment
Using testing equipment for quality checks
Monitor and maintain machinery for efficiency
Diagnose machine or tool malfunctions and determine required adjustments or repairs
Communicate and engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
Work inclusively with your team and across the wider organisation
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement
Attend careers or STEM events to support young people’s futures
Training:
The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance 2 a day at college a week for the 1st year.
This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship qualification (ST0537) standard.
On completion, the apprentice will receive a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship qualification (ST0537).
Training Outcome:
The idea behind running an active and ongoing Apprenticeship program is to invest in people and provide sustainable employment within our locality and develop and grow a skilled workforce for the future. On completion, you will be well-positioned to continue your career within the production team.

Working Hours :
37.5 hours, worked over 5 days (TBC). Between 7:30am – 4pm.
