Manufacturing Engineer Degree Apprentice
Technical Responsibility:
Assist in engineering tasks to define product requirements, create designs, perform tests, and validate final hardware components. Apply relevant standards and specifications under direct supervision Identify basic risks related to the design and manufacturing of products Demonstrate a basic understanding of engineering principles in one area of expertise Help maintain cleanliness, organisation, and health and safety standards in the workplaceTechnical Processes, Tools & Documentation:
Support the development and integration of mechanical components using Computer-Aided Design (CAD), applying basic methods and conceptsTechnical Leadership:
Under close supervision, assist in the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of mechanical componentsProblem Solving:
Develop basic troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues with equipment Apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving with coaching and guidanceCommercial Awareness:
Understand the importance of estimating, budgeting, and managing costs in project executionTraining:
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your apprenticeship with Coventry University. You will be given 20% off the job hours, this will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively.
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the programme - and subject to performance - you may have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the team or business area where you completed your apprenticeship

Working Hours :
Your contracted hours each week throughout your apprenticeship will be 39 hours Monday - Friday. Exact shifts TBC.
