Childcare Apprenticeship - Sandhurst

As an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner, you will learn from experienced practitioners while contributing to the day-to-day running of the nursery. You will support in delivering activities that promote children’s development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and will gradually take on more responsibilities as you progress through your training. 

Key Responsibilities:

Child Development and Learning Support the implementation of the EYFS through play-based learning and planned activities Observe and interact with children to support their learning and record developmental progress with guidance Contribute to maintaining accurate records, including observations and next steps Assist in the care of children’s physical needs, including mealtimes, toileting, and personal hygiene Promote inclusive practice and support children with additional needs

Safeguarding and Welfare

Maintain a safe and secure environment by following safeguarding procedures at all times Immediately report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Understand the importance of confidentiality and data protection Participate in safeguarding training and policy reviews

Upon completion of this 12 month Apprenticeship, you will have obtained your Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship.

Training Outcome:

There is a possibility of being offered a full time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Established in 2026, Trilakes Nursery and Pre-School is a unique childcare facility in Sandhurst. We are passionate about providing a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years to learn and develop. We strongly believe in learning through hands-on experiences and play. Our nursery is purposefully designed to support every aspect of a child’s development, featuring extensive outdoor areas, sensory spaces, and hard-standing play zones. We also have exclusive nursery and pre-school access to Jake’s Playworld, allowing us to utilise 19 acres of adventure-filled space every single day. With a giant indoor play barn and a mini farm, the possibilities for discovery are endless.

Working Hours :
Monday-Friday, between 08:00 and 18:00.
