Apprentice Mechanical Building Services Engineer

Take responsibility for your own safety and understand Arcadis Health and Safety Principles Develop awareness and understanding of the contribution of the wide project community in the successful delivery of projects Develop awareness of the business benefits derived from Global Design Work as a project resource to support the successful delivery of specific outputs individually or as part of a team Build analytical and design skills as well as developing communication  skills including technical writing Deliver work that meet client and Arcadis requirements Work under close supervision Use available expertise on routine tasks Contribute to designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and final working drawings and input to the production of technical reports – all under the close supervision of an experienced engineer Build an understanding of the design of individual elements of a project and how it ultimately interfaces with the client Undertake document management including drawing registers. Check own work ahead of production checking Check and verify that quality requirements have been achieved in accordance with Arcadis systems Collect data under the close supervision of an experienced engineer Successfully complete assigned technical tasks within allotted time frames  Sign up to training plan for professional development. Attend appropriate events Develop skills including engineering skills, project management, client relationship management and commercial skills Commit to receiving on the job technical training by performing tasks, which are under the direct supervision of more experienced staff within well-defined limits  Attend knowledge network to support Arcadis knowledge sharing Contribute to internal CPD by presenting elements of First Friday sessions Work with a Mentor to develop technical excellence at the start of a structured training programme

Training:

On this apprenticeship you will complete the BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering Degree Apprenticeship standard on a day release basis through our agreed training provider Liverpool John Moores University.



Training Outcome:

Following the apprenticeship, the apprentice can either develop further in their specialism or explore other routes and opportunities across our business
