They’re looking to hire a Payroll Officer to join their busy team and provide end-end processing for all areas of the payroll cycle.
The Payroll Officer will report directly into the Payroll Team Leader.

THE PAYROLL OFFICER ROLE:
• Provide a professional, consistent and customer focused service including business focused policy and procedural advice to managers and staff.• Be responsible for the accurate and timely input of Payroll data including timesheets for overtime, expense forms, all employee advice forms supplied by the People Centre relating to new starters, leavers and contractual amendments.• Ensure correct application of HMRC, statutory and other applicable policies and procedures in the processing of Payroll activity.• Ensure own activity meets agreed SLAs and KPIs taking appropriate corrective action or escalating when required.• Undertake regular audits to ensure accuracy of information received.
• Level 5 – CIPP Foundation Degree in Payroll or equivalent experience• Experience of working in a payroll department including with Payroll systems.• A good understanding of HMRC statutory legislation, pensions regulations and court rulings• Proficient in systems including Payroll system, workflow system, excel and word• Excellent written and verbal skills.
