Dental Nurse Apprentice

The successful candidate's duties will include but are not limited to: 

Delivering chair side support to clinicians to ensure smooth running of the practice Prepare treatment rooms for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols Carrying decontamination duties Provide instruments by sterilising and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments Maintains patient confidence by keeping information confidential Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols. Ensuring high standards of infection control and surgery cleanliness Assist with reception duties and other clinical duties when required Play an important role in creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for patients and the team

Training:
Dental Nurse (GDC 2023) Level 3 The apprentice will complete one day in college a week during term times

Training Outcome:

Once qualified to register with the GDC and work at the practice as a qualified dental nurse. We offer a range or NHS and private treatments to specialise in. We encourage all staff members to continue with continued professional development.

Employer Description:

The practice is well established for over 30 years based in Newton le willows. The practice is modern and bright with five fully equipped surgeries. The surgeries are fully digital, operating on SOE software and digital x-rays. The staff are well trained, friendly and professional. The team consists of the Practice owner, Principal Dentist, 3 Associate Dentists, the Practice Manager, 6 Dental Nurses and 1 Receptionist. We are currently expanding the practice to bring in new and existing patients wanting private treatment such as aesthetics. We are looking forward to this new exciting opportunity.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5.30pm, Friday 08.30am - 5.00pm, 1-late night on a Thursday per week
