HR Apprentice
Recruitment and onboarding:
Support recruitment administration including:
Posting vacancies Scheduling interviews Preparing interview packs Issue offer letters and contracts (using templates) Co-ordinate pre-employment checks Set up new starters on the HR system Support induction processes and documentationHR systems and data:
Maintain accurate employee records on the HR system Process changes to employee details Support reporting and data checks Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality at all timesAbsence, Leave and Records:
Support annual leave administration including:
Calculating entitlements and pro-rata leave Updating leave records Assist with absence tracking and reporting Respond to basic queries regarding leave and absence policiesEmployee Queries & HR Support:
Act as first point of contact for basic HR queries Provide accurate information using HR policies and procedures Esculate more complex issues to the Head of Resources as appropriate Notes of HR meetings for example grievances Gradually take on more responsibility as experience and confidence growsLearning and Development:
Actively engage in the HR apprenticeship programme Apply learning to day to day HR activities Attend training, workshops and review meetings Build knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice During your apprenticeship, you will be assigned a dedicated trainer Work towards Level 3 CIPD HR Support apprenticeship standard Regular virtual/face-to-face meetings with your trainer Formal progress reviews Commit to 30% off-the-job training requirements alongside your day-to-day duties Attend relevant internal and external meetings as agreed with your Line Manager Prepare for and attend regular one-to-one meetings with your Line Manager Complete all mandatory training and relevant professional development activitiesOther duties and responsibilities:
Uphold the aims and principles of the Citizens-Advice service and its equal opportunities policies Keep up to date with policies and procedures relevant to the organisation and undertake appropriate training Abide by Health and Safety guidelines and share responsibility for your own safety and that of colleagues Manage and prioritise workload effectively Willingness to carry out other tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility to support the overall effectiveness of the serviceTraining:

Training Outcome:
If successful potential to progress to CIPD level 5 and the position could be considered as part of our succession planning strategy, contingent on future staffing changes
