TEACHING ASSISTANT APPRENTICE L3

Be involved in working with individuals or small groups of children with autism to support their education, personal and social development  Establishing positive relationships to assist pupils in completing structured learning activities. Duties may include: giving support to implement learning activities, working with individual or small groups of pupils, supporting the development of varying skills that support pupils' learning and providing support in producing learning resources

Training:

Training and support is provided to all staff, including Safeguarding, Team Teach, and Emergency First Aid at Work. On-the-job training will include the use of Makaton and specialist computer programmes to produce resources. If GCSE Grade 4 has not previously been achieved, maths, English and ICT functional skills must be completed as part of the apprenticeship.



Training Outcome:

There is no guarantee at the end of this apprenticeship, but support will be given in seeking employment should the need arise.
