Maintenance SupervisorDeeside6am-2pm/2pm-10pmSalary Dependant on Experience + Bonus + BenefitsMy Client who is leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.The maintenance shift lead is responsible for leading the maintenance technicians across multiple shifts directing and managing the planning, development and execution of total preventative maintenance work to minimize failures, improve reliability of maintenance effectiveness, shorten repair times, and meet customer & organization expectations.The role is primarily a shop floor-based role, actively involved in breakdowns and driving the management, fast resolve and high standard of fixes whilst also leading, developing, and coaching the maintenance technicians to achieve exceptional standards within the department.
The maintenance shift lead will work hand in hand with all shift leads to communicate, prioritise and direct all technical matters that effect production.Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:
Time served engineerConsiderable knowledge and experience in manufacturing engineering is essentialKnowledge of control systems, programming and technical fault finding is essentialExpert knowledge in mechanical/electrical and pneumatic systemsPrevious experience of improvement projects and leading teamsExperience in a highly regulated maintenance environment is essentialManagement experience within a maintenance framework would be a distinct advantageStatistical tools like Minitab or Jump, Project Management (Microsoft Project, etc.), SAP.
Maintenance Supervisor Duties:
Works collaboratively with manufacturing shift leads to prioritise and align labour to manufacturing priorities, to support delivering monthly Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost KPI’s.Ensures site assets are compliant through Safety & Quality standards and metrics.Hands on role with direct leadership of maintenance technicians for the Deeside site, ensuring maximum visibility of team on shop floor providing strong service to our line-based teams.Support improvements through SMED activity.Execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) driving down machine time loss supporting increased OEE year on year.Drives maintenance compliance through safety & quality and drive team to real Root-Cause through effective analysis.Prioritises data to communicate within the organization - decisions based on actual figures rather than intuition or observation alone.Implement predictive and preventative maintenance techniques and support Autonomous maintenance.Manage planned maintenance execution and ensure 100% complianceBe hands-on in supporting the maintenance team in breakdowns using skills and experience to guide and deliverWorks with other internal departments to prepare for operational readiness of new and modified installations to ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability of equipment.Coordinate with other TPM stakeholders and sites to share practices and improve resultsUnderstand financial metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
