Mechanical Engineering Apprentice

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

The role involves complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and organisational requirements and using machining processes and techniques.

Be trained in a designated Apprentice Training area Be working towards a recognised mechanical engineering qualification at college (part-time) Gain key skills linked to your qualifications Earn a salary while training that is linked to an increasing pay scale

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Receive on-the-job training from a dedicated and skilled Apprentice Trainer. L3 Machining Technician - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

EAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)

Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) for Engineering Technician (EngTech)
Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) for Engineering Technician (EngTech)
Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for Engineering Technician (EngTech)



Training Outcome:

Completion of the apprenticeship is designed to be recognised by relevant professional engineering institutions at the appropriate level of professional registration (EngTech). Apprentices can look forward to opportunities in the industry.

Monday to Friday with blended college day attendance. Shifts TBC.
