Sales Ledger Clerk£22,500Permanent Opportunity Monday – Friday Bamber Bridge, Preston Proman is currently working with a manufacturing business to appoint a Sales Ledger Clerk who will be responsible for processing sales orders andcredit control.
This is a full-time position and will be an office-based role. Sales Ledger Clerk The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for the following: Responsibilities: Process sales orders
Take sales orders in the form of telephone calls, fax, email or EDI, enter or import onto Sage.Check credit status of customersMaintain sales price lists and ensure all PO are raised at the correct prices.Check delivery quantities to orders add delivery note information to invoices and raise invoices, prepare daybooks for cash flow finance claims.Send invoices to Customers via email fax or EDI as requiredPrepare required sales reports
Prepare reports for credit control meeting, attend credit control meetingPrepare and send customer statementsEnsure orders are within agreed credit limits or additional authorisation has been given to exceed limitMaintain contact with customers to ensure timely paymentsInvestigate non-payments, identify issues and resolve where possible
Raise credit notes
Seek required approval for any credit required.Raise as required and send to Customers.
(shared) receive post and parcels open and direct non-personally addressed post, welcome and sign in visitors, answer phones and direct calls.
