Apprentice Administration Support Assistant
The Apprentice Admin Support Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the organisation. This will include handling correspondence, answering phone calls and emails, greeting visitors, and directing enquiries to the appropriate team members. The apprentice will learn how to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a helpful and customer-focused approach.
The role will involve supporting office systems and processes, such as maintaining accurate records, updating databases, filing documents (both digital and paper-based), and assisting with data entry tasks. The apprentice will develop strong organisational skills by managing routine administrative tasks, prioritising workloads, and meeting deadlines under guidance from experienced colleagues.
In addition, the Apprentice Admin Support Assistant will also help with basic HR-related admin tasks where appropriate, such as onboarding paperwork, all while learning about confidentiality and data protection.
Throughout the apprenticeship, the individual will work towards developing key workplace skills, including time management, IT proficiency, and teamwork. They will receive on-the-job training and support to build confidence, take increasing responsibility, and contribute positively to the overall effectiveness of the team.
Training:
On-the-job training is delivered by the employer.
Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out regular training.
Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge, skills and behaviours to progress and develop.
Identify, track and support 6 hours off-the-job training activities.
Quarterly formal progress review meetings, identifying learning achievements and next steps.
