Operations Data Management Senior Analyst
Our client is looking for an individual with experience in a data management role to oversee and manage a range of data sets relating to Operations.
This role will be key to ensuring that the Operations Data Management team have the appropriate processes and controls in place relating to operations data and assessing these on an ongoing basis to ensure that processes and controls meet business needs and mitigate risks.
The role will liaise with key stakeholders internally, including operations teams, technology teams and the dealing and investment teams, as well as liaising with third party providers who provide data or data related services to the firm.
2-3 years’ experience in a similar operational or data management role.
Experience of corporate actions from both an instruction and processing perspective.
Experience of security data management within an financial services firm and understanding data usage in day-to-day operations.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-moving management environment with many demands.
Ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgment for decision making and problem solving.
Highly focussed on operational controls and operational efficiencies.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with senior personnel.
Maintenance of authorised instrument/ asset data with the appropriate controls to ensure this is complete and accurate
Provide subject matter expertise on security master models, highlighting risks and options and proposing controls
Maintenance of the operations data management documentation including ensuring all procedures, control documents and checklists are fit for purpose, use standard departmental formats and are up to date
Ensure that knowledge is maintained across the team, taking the lead to ensure appropriate upskilling of all team members is in place
Delivery of monthly reporting and other regular deliverables to senior management reporting on team performance of controls and any outcomes from regular service engagements with outsource providers, ensuring sign off within specified timelines and performing controls to ensure outputs are complete and accurate
Identify operational improvement opportunities and proactively propose solutions including new processes and controls with supporting rationale and evidence for the basis of change
Provide management information to senior management on regular basis as required
