Finance Business Partner
Harper May is partnering with a growing consulting firm that is seeking a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join its finance team. With an expanding client base and a strong focus on delivering strategic value, the firm is looking for a finance professional who can drive insight, improve performance, and support decision-making across the business.
Role Overview:
As Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple service lines to provide clear financial analysis and strategic input. This role is ideal for a proactive, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with non-finance teams to improve business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with consulting and operational teams to provide financial guidance on performance, resource planning, and profitability
Deliver accurate and timely management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business strategy
Develop and present financial models to inform pricing, pipeline planning, and investment decisions
Identify opportunities for margin improvement, cost control, and process optimisation
Support project-level financial tracking, reporting, and commercial risk analysis
Act as a trusted advisor to business leads, helping to drive accountability and performance metrics
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal reporting and business partnering frameworks
Key Requirements:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or finalist
Previous experience in a finance business partnering or commercial finance role, ideally within professional services or consulting
Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
A proactive, commercially focused mindset and a willingness to challenge assumptions constructively
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
