Creative Content Apprentice

As a Creative Content Apprentice, you will support the planning, production, and delivery of engaging digital content across multiple marketing channels. Working closely with the Marketing Team, you will help strengthen our online presence, support learner recruitment, and contribute to the ongoing development of the OCSW brand.

Key areas of work include:

Assisting with the planning, design, and creation of engaging digital content aligned to the OCSW brand Creating graphics, short-form videos, and written content for use across social media and digital campaigns Capturing photos and videos of learner activity, events, and courses for marketing purposes Supporting the development and maintenance of content calendars and campaign schedules Publishing content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok Monitoring engagement, reach, and basic analytics to support continuous improvement Assisting with responding to comments and messages where appropriate, in line with brand guidelines Supporting newsletters, website updates, and basic content editing tasks Assisting with the creation of learner case studies, success stories, and employer features Helping prepare marketing materials for events, campaigns, and community outreach activities

Training:

The apprentice’s training will take place both at work and through college days with ON Course South West. Most of the practical training and day-to-day learning will happen in the workplace, allowing the apprentice to gain valuable hands-on experience. Additionally, there will be regular college sessions held at ON Course South West, where the apprentice will develop their knowledge and complete coursework in a classroom environment.

Training will typically occur on a set day at OCSW, with the remainder of the time spent working and applying skills on the job. This combination ensures a balanced approach to learning, blending practical work-based training with formal study.

Training Outcome:

After successfully completing the Content Creator Level 3 Apprenticeship, apprentices will have developed a strong foundation of creative, technical and digital skills, preparing them for a range of career opportunities within the content and digital marketing sector. Where a suitable role is available within the business, we are happy to support the apprentice in applying for a permanent position.

Alternatively, we are committed to supporting apprentices in exploring wider career options and will provide guidance with job applications and interview preparation to help them secure a role that aligns with their skills, strengths and interests.

Potential career progression routes may include roles such as Content Creator, Digital Marketing Assistant, Social Media Executive, Marketing Assistant or Junior Content Producer. Apprentices may also choose to continue their professional development through further study, such as higher-level digital marketing or creative media qualifications.

This apprenticeship offers an excellent stepping stone for individuals looking to build a successful career in content creation, digital marketing and the wider creative industries.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm (to be discussed at the interview). Some weekend events and evening events.
