Engineering Manufacturing Apprentice (Level 4)

4-year engagement whereby you will be permanently employed by Lucy Electric whilst studying. Initial 10 months at college at The Engineering Trust in Bicester (08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday). 14 months of extended workplace placements (rotations) in multiple engineering related departments during your apprenticeship such as: Design Engineering, Prototype, Technical, Applications and Contract Engineering, Quality, Industrial, Process and Production Engineering, Operations Management, Software, Hardware and even Product Management. You will also have the opportunity to work in a hands-on capacity in our production facility. 2 years of specialising in a department that suits your capabilities after an initial 2-year assessment.

Training:

The training for this apprenticeship will involve a combination of college and on-site work in Bicester and Thame, Oxfordshire.



Training Outcome:

A number of Engineering routes could include:

Design Engineering (CAD). To include Industrial, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines Prototype Engineering Contract / Technical Engineering Production Engineering Maintenance Engineering

Working Hours :
College - First 10 months - Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 16:00 Apprenticeship Rotations - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 15:30 / 06:00 - 14:30 (shift dependent - production rotations are on the early shift). Half day on Fridays.
