ICT Technician Level 3 Apprentice

As an ICT Technician Apprentice, you will support our internal IT systems and technical operations. You will develop practical skills in IT support, hardware diagnostics, data security, and system maintenance while working closely with technical, operations, and compliance teams.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in IT who wants to build a career in technical support, infrastructure, or IT operations.

Provide first-line technical support to internal users Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and devices Diagnose and troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues Support the secure handling, testing, and processing of IT equipment Learn and follow data security and compliance procedures (GDPR, WEEE, ISO standards) Maintain accurate records of IT assets, faults, and resolutions Assist with system updates, backups, and basic network support Liaise with operations teams to support smooth service delivery Follow health, safety, and environmental policies Support general administrative and documentation tasks related to IT operations

Training:

This apprenticeship is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining on-the-job training with study toward a Level 3 ICT Technician qualification.

You will develop skills and knowledge in:

IT hardware and operating systems  Network fundamentals and connectivity Technical fault diagnosis and resolution Cyber security, data protection, and compliance Asset management and documentation Customer and user support principles Professional communication and teamwork Health, safety, and environmental best practices
