Responsibilities:

To deliver and maintain a high standard of personal care to residents in accordance with their needs and desired outcomes To carry out procedures as instructed by the Registered Nurse, Senior Carer or Head of Care within your scope of competence To document care given, in accordance with procedures To report to the Person in Charge any changes in residents' condition or other circumstances which could impact on resident care To report to the Person in Charge any complaints, incidents or accidents immediately Be accountable for the quality of own work and take responsibility for maintaining and improving knowledge and skills, attending training and receiving supervision as required Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, engaging with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and other social activities and recreations Assist in ensuring that all resident areas are hygienic, safe and comfortable at all times Ensure that equipment and stocks are efficiently and safely stored and economically used To assist in ensuring the security of all residents and the premises through the observance of security procedures and the challenging of any strangers in the Home It is a condition of service that all information obtained during the course of employment, especially with regard to resident affairs, is of the utmost confidence

Training:

Paragon Skills is an award-winning, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’, national apprenticeship provider inspiring over 10,000 learners annually and working with over 3000 businesses to deliver apprenticeships in a high-quality, consistent way. Our dedicated focus on the Care and Education sectors means we are deeply rooted within these sectors and have in-depth knowledge and understanding of what is required from a training perspective. Upon completion of this 12 Month Apprenticeship, you will have obtained your Adult care worker (level 2) Apprenticeship.



Training Outcome:
There is a possibility of being offered a full time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship
