Drug and Alcohol Recovery Practitioner X2

Job title: Recovery practitioner
Location: Bedford- NHS based
Contract: 3 months (could get extended)
Pay rate: £18-£20 per hour
Client: Path2Recovery
Hours- 37.5 hours per week (M-F)


Job role:


Provision of drug & alcohol treatment to Service Users within the local area.
Holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to those individuals.
Provide harm reduction advice, information, and support with an emphasis on safer drug use, safer sex, HIV, Hepatitis A, B and C and other blood borne infections
To make home visits consistent with need.
To carry out comprehensive assessments.




Essential Requirements

Relevant training / Qualification in associated field
CBT
Motivational Interviewing


A commitment to and understanding of harm reduction & recovery approaches to working with drug users.



have experience of managing community caseload and able to attend service daily.
