Our client is looking for skilled and experienced Prototype Wirepersons to join their team on a permanent basis.
They have been suppliers to the aerospace, defence, energy and other industries for several decades with high-quality testing equipment.
The right Prototype Wireperson will need to have:
Experience in prototype assembly, ideally in the aerospace or defence sector
The ability to demonstrate your capabilities during a skills test
Work with in-house engineers to solve technical queries and provide solutions for prototype assemblies
Be a great team player with excellent attention to detail with a methodical mindset
Be accustomed to using a range of mil spec connectors and cable production techniques
Experience in the production of wiring looms or cable assemblies
Well-practiced in crimping, soldering and lacing to aerospace standards
Be able to wire fixtures and cabinets
PCB assembly experience is desirable but not essential
Be able to understand engineering drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schedules
Experience working to IPC 620 Class 3 standards
Need to be eligible for a security check
In return as a Prototype Wireperson, you’ll get:
Overtime paid at 1.3x for hours worked past 39 hours
Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours worked on weekends or bank holidays
39 hours a week with an early finish on a Friday
24 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays
Option to work a 4-day, 39-hour week
