We are recruiting for a Process Engineer for our client who are a leading manufacturer within the elastomer industry based in Scotland with substantial growth over the last 2yrs.
The successful candidate will be joining a business with a reputation built on exceptional technical expertise, outstanding levels of quality and a continued dedication to innovation, our client is now seeking a Process Engineer to join the growing department.
As Process Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that all business capacity plans are met through the effective introduction and improvement of processes and products.
The Process Engineer will take full responsibility from tool design to a production ready process.
Also responsible for designing, implementing, controlling and optimising industrial processes and machinery
Process Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
Introduction of New processes, procedures & products
Provide drive, technical competence, and support to ensure continual process improvements are
Maintain and develop effective measurement techniques to monitor efficiencies and ergonomics, to
sustaining ongoing and continuous improvements
Provide the technical capabilities and leadership to achieve root cause analysis/in depth fault diagnosis,
along with the formulation of corrective actions and plans to fix.
Actively seek new ways to improve existing processes and tooling to increase production yields and
reduce overall scrap cost.
The maintenance of adherence and improvement of the companies quality systems and procedures,
including but not restricted to continual ISO 9001 compliance and 5S programmes.
Skills and Experience:
Educated to degree level in a related engineering discipline
Previous experience with rubber moulding, metal to rubber bonding advantageous
Possess knowledge and understanding of databases, SPC techniques, design of experiments, failure
mode effect analysis (FMEA) and continuous improvement techniques
Computer literate with basic CAD understanding
