Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Apprentice
Key Duties:
Support pupils’ learning, both individually and in small groups, helping them engage with lessons and complete tasks. You will assist in promoting an inclusive learning environment, supporting pupils with additional needs, and contributing to classroom management and resource preparation. The role involves observing and reporting on pupil progress, following school policies and safeguarding procedures, and participating in apprenticeship training. You will be working at multipal sites in Porslade, Hove and Southwick areasTraining:
The Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, in which you will receive training to develop and demonstrate knowledge, skills and behaviours, also includes:
Level 3 Diploma – Supporting Teaching and Learning End-Point Assessment (EPA) NCFE combined knowledge and competency-based qualification Work-based learning 20% off-the-job training Training is delivered online and face-to-face A nominated tutor Functional Skills in maths and English if requiredTraining Outcome:
A full-time position may be offered upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. Opportunity to learn and develop within the company. Progression on to higher apprenticeship/training.
