Property Maintenance Apprenticeship
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The apprenticeship will involve the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the school site. This can be routine maintenance through to emergency repairs using a wide range of trade skills. You will be based across 2 schools.
You will work alongside other maintenance staff and skilled tradespeople to complete the jobs. The apprenticeship will provide you with a great opportunity to learn and will give you valuable experience across a number of areas:
Identify risks and hazards and work to health & safety regulations. Complete maintenance and repairs using job sheets or job specifications. Use correct hand or power tools for the task. Clear away and dispose of waste safely. Use carpentry and joinery skills to compete minor repairs such as window and door frames. Painting and decorating a range of surfaces. Minor plastering repairs. Plumbing and drainage repairs, identify faults. Use a variety of materials for wall and floor tiling.Training:
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

We are now looking for a multi skilled apprentice to join our valued maintenance team.
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday between 09:00 to 17:00 36 hours a week.
