Technical Presales Consultant - IT Services & Solutions Consultancy

Location: Leeds

Salary: £65-70k pa & excellent benefits

Our client, an expanding medium sized specialist IT services & solutions consultancy is looking to take on a Technical Presales Consultant to join their team based at their Leeds office.

As Technical Presales Consultant, you will be responsible for stakeholder management and communication, providing technical input to solutions advocated by the Company, you will be a part of the sales cycle.

This role requires strong technical knowledge and an established background in professional relationship management, architecture design and delivery, building client relationships and customer engagement.

Duties and background experience:

* Ascertain client requirements by communicating with them in various ways (including face-to-face meetings, telephone conversation or email, etc).
* Suggest technical solutions to clients requirements using a variety of suppliers' products and in-house skills.
* Assisting the sales process by attending meetings, responding to "request for tender" documents and constructing proposals.
* Creating and presenting Proof-of-Concepts
* Establish and maintaining relationships with new and ongoing clients, suppliers and partners.
* Where necessary, perform "due diligence" exercises on supplier and partners' products and offerings.
* Provide technical mentoring and guidance, act as a technical escalation point for the Solutions sales staff.
* Provide an interface to the technical department for the sales staff.

Technical background to include:

* Strong experience as Technical Architect or similar
* Solid commercial experience in networking/server infrastructure environment or similar
* Good presentation and communication skills.

Be able to provide verbal and written material and contribute to meetings
* Demonstrable knowledge of products in the Connectivity, Hosting and Security IT provision
* Experience in partner or channel management (preferred)
* Any experience with connectivity/hosting/security service provider (preferred)
