Apprentice Pipefitter
As a Pipefitter Apprentice, you will:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Shape and profile pipes and components using power tools, mechanical cutting machines, and other equipment Learn how to work with various materials, such as carbon, stainless, and other alloys Prepare and fit piping systems according to engineering drawings and specifications Collaborate with pipe welders and across the wider business on various projects Receive specific training tailored to nuclear industry requirementsIn addition to the above, you’ll also receive training on manual handling techniques and working in potentially hazardous environments.
Training:
The apprenticeship follows a 3 year programme, with the first year spent off the job at CATCH in Stallingborough. This would be Monday-Friday 8am- 4pm.
The remainder of the apprenticeship is then completed onsite. Where you will be deployed out to PJD Client sites around the UK, with possible opportunities to work outside the UK if the need arises.
Training Outcome:
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level apprenticeship or full-time employment for the right candidate
You will have developed a variety of interchangeable skills and have an in depth understanding of manufacturing and processes.
