Apprentice Administrator Assistant

Assisting with school attendance monitoring and confidential issues Assist with updating school registers, and tracking student attendance, through daily communication with staff/parents on attendance issues Daily use of Microsoft Office Daily use of ARBOR and associated applications Operate office equipment e.g. photocopier, shredder, etc. Provide cover and assistance on the school reception desk at peak times Provide routine administrative support e.g., photocopying, filing, emailing, data entry etc. Assist in the production of attendance reports, and process penalty notices to the local authority Assist in escorting pupils who are late, or returning from an appointment to their classroom To work within school policies and procedures To contribute to the provision of an effective environment for learning To support the promotion of positive relationships with parents and outside agencies You should be able to work calmly under pressure and to strict deadlines and work with limited supervision as well as be able to build good working relationships with colleagues and students To undertake personal development through training and other learning activities including performance management, as required To work as part of a team and support the role of others at all times contributing to the overall work and ethos of the school. To take care for their own and other people's health and safety

Training Outcome:

The administration role may be a gateway to further career opportunities, such as management or senior support roles.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday: 08.30 - 16.00 Friday: 08.30 - 15.30. Term time work only - 39 weeks of work per year.
