Signage Technician Apprenticeship

Support lead technicians in printing, cutting and applying graphics to various substrates using vinyl plotters, latex and UV printers and laminators  Support lead technicians in applying vinyl wraps to cars, vans, trucks, and other vehicles  Accompany the team in site visits and learn how signs are fitted  Learn Tools and materials used in the trade  Learn to use basic hand tools safely  Assist in keeping work areas tidy and safe  Support with cleaning and maintaining equipment  Follow health and safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE (provided)  Assist with loading/unloading vehicles for installation Check Job Sheets and prepare materials for upcoming projects  Provide friendly assistance to colleagues and customers

Training:

A structured, 3-year apprenticeship program leading to a Level 3 Signage Technician qualification.

Dedicated Support: Regular 1-on-1 meetings with your manager and a designated mentor to track your progress and provide guidance.

Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both your employer and BPIF Training. You will be assigned a training coordinator to work with you throughout the duration of your apprenticeship. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit both your own and business needs. Most training and studying will be site-based. You should be comfortable planning your workload as you progress through the apprenticeship.

Training Outcome:

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the possibility of becoming a permanent member of the team.

Employer Description:
We are an established signage and vehicle graphics business in the seaside town of Great Yarmouth. In the 10 years we have been operating we have diversified into printed and embroidered clothing, commercial and industrial engraving, merchandise and small format print.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
