Principal Infrastructure Consultant - IT Management & Technical Consultancy

Surrey & Field Based

Salary: £60-90k pa DOE plus benefits, bonus (7-15%) & on-going training

We are working on behalf of an expanding Management and Technology Consultancy based in Surrey looking to take on a Principal Infrastructure Consultant.

The ideal candidates will provide support to a wide range of high-profile UK defence organisations.

Your help will enable them to get the maximum benefit from their technology investments, and in doing so, play a key role in nationally critical projects which make a real difference to people's everyday lives.

With expertise in translating business requirements into technology requirements, and implementation and support of core systems and networking, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, stability and performance of all systems.

This role will require you to lead assignments and be responsible for supervising direct reports whilst ensuring the overall success of the engagement.

The consultancy's position as a client-side advisor means that your role will involve significant stakeholder engagement, dealing directly with the client, including resolving day-day issues involved in assignment delivery and developing follow-on opportunities, so excellent interpersonal and influencing skills are essential.

You will typically work on client sites, co-located with other project members, including client staff, colleagues and other suppliers.

Due to the nature of client-side working, regular travel within the UK should be expected.

The base office is in Guildford, but it is likely that you will spend the majority of your time working with clients at their sites.

This particular role will involve working with defence clients and as a result you will need to be able to obtain high-level UK security clearance.
