Social Work Team Manager
Sirona Medical's Social Work Department are recruiting for a Social Work Team Manager for the Community Team in the Learning Disabilities service.We are looking for individuals who have direct line management responsibility for a team of staff consisting of Social Workers and Assistant Care Managers.
It is expected that the role will contribute to the ongoing development of the service in the context of current and new legislation and changing regulation requirements by central government.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining multi-disciplinary relationships within and outside the organisation in order to deliver an effective, efficient and timely service.
You will be working with other agencies and health partners and contributing to multi-disciplinary policy, processes and planning forums such as Continuing Health Care Panels.Key Skills: 1.
Ability to make sound, pragmatic, problem-solving decisions including tackling difficult problems of a technical, professional, resource or people-related nature.
Excellent communication skills with ability to influence actions by others and negotiate effective business solutions.
Research and knowledge management skills; able to apply project management principles and practices.
Leadership, effective people management and performance management skills and the ability to provide direction and support to individuals and teams during complex situations.
Ability to challenge existing practices and identify innovative strength-based solutions within the required frameworks.
Sound and accurate IT skills for general office duties, producing reports and undertaking research.NOTE: Team Manager will be expected to spend 2 days a week in the area, after the team is established it will be mostly worked remotely.
