Business Expansion Director
BUSINESS EXPANSION DIRECTORWe are looking for an experienced sales professional with direct catering experience to join our business team.
The role will work alongside our chief executive and senior management to seek contract opportunities, assisting in tender opportunities and initiating new client relationships.
The ideal candidate will need to have a proven track record in proactive sales, a good communicator,
and a confident door opener.
The role carries a bonus package based on results.
PURPOSE OF JOB: To generate new business catering contract opportunities, assist in the tender writing.
Key tasks for role
? Research new contract opportunities through databases and research to generate contract opportunity appointments for the MPD
? Ongoing research and understanding into the target audiences and competitors
? Maintain a database of clients contacts/ activity and manage an effective chase system through use of CRM
? Assist with tender writing ensuing the team track opportunities
? Ensure relevant information is captured from all stakeholders to facilitate the completion of each tender
? Genuine opportunity to be imaginative and reactive to really make our bids stand out from the crowd
? Identify and re-work existing pre-written Bid Library content where relevant keeping it relevant and up-to-date
? Deliver completed written proposal responses brought together by the team, to the managing directors against agreed Request for Proposal (RFP) deadlines, communicating updates, amendments, clarifications and issues as necessary
? Ensuring compliance with tender return instructions and ensuring a complete return of tenders
? Create opportunity documents outlining contract details, clients, key facts and history of relationship to aid journey to tender process
? Have a good understanding of our products and services
? Have had previous experience of team management as you will be responsible for a team of people
