Apprentice Electrician

Bounds are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician who is passionate about becoming an electrician. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong desire to learn. While a basic understanding of electrical principles is preferred, we value a proactive attitude and a willingness to grow even more.

You’ll work with experienced professionals, using hand and power tools, solving problems, and contributing to a safe and productive work environment.

The successful candidate will join a team of highly experienced electricians, and they will help the team to ensure the properties they work on are maintained to the highest standard. Ideally the candidate will have their own transport and a driving license.

Duties include: 

• Assist qualified electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.

• Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

• Participate in Milton Keynes college training sessions and workshops to develop technical knowledge and skills.

• Help with troubleshooting electrical issues and performing basic repairs.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools, and equipment.

• Document work completed and report any issues or concerns to supervisors.

Training:

As part of this apprenticeship, you will attend Milton Keynes College one day per week and gain practical experience with Bounds Electricians to gain knowledge and understanding to achieve your apprenticeship and become a qualified installation electrician.

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the qualification the apprentice may be offered a full-time position. Opportunities for future progression into a more senior role are available.
