 The Role – Senior Wellbeing Support Worker:
Engaging with young people that have emerging mental health conditions, which is preventing them from accessing servicesProviding support and advice to build service users confidence and skills through coaching and mentoringCompleting line management duties with the other team membersBuilding informal relationships of trust and delivering one-to-one supportDelivering support in the young person’s home and out in the community, guiding on the understanding of mental health disorders, tools to reduce the impact, and therapeutic support to build on positive thought processesEnsuring accurate written records are completed following each engagement Ensuring that all risk reduction measures are taken when working within the family home and to alert the on-call manager if any risk factor changes which could be detrimental to the family or teamEmpowering service users to experience transformation in their livesMay work some unsociable hours
 We anticipate each young person will be offered 10 weeks of up to 2hrs a week working with staff and over the course of 12 months up to 275 young people will be worked with by the team. Person Specification – Senior Wellbeing Support Worker:
Experience as a Family or Youth Worker providing one-to-one support to young people Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Mental HealthMHFA trained in either adult or youthProven experience of providing sound advice across a range of mental health related issuesYou must hold a full driving licence and have own transportAble and willing to be flexible across the week and to work unsocial hours Strong skills of working with vulnerable and marginalised individuals from a variety of backgroundsExcellent communication, interpersonal and time management skillsA friendly, knowledgeable and supportive approach
