Apprentice Teaching Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting Learning
Support pupils in accessing learning activities, promoting understanding, engagement and independence Work with individuals or small groups on targeted interventions, guided activities and personalised support Help deliver structured programmes that support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum learning Adapt approaches and resources to meet the needs of pupils with SEND, EAL or SEMH needsSupporting Teachers
Assist in preparing teaching materials, resources and classroom displays Help deliver planned learning activities, providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress Support behaviour management and help maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment Contribute to record-keeping, progress notes and reporting any concerns to teaching staff or the SENCOWider School Support
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model for positive attitudes and behaviour Supervise pupils at key times such as breaks, lunchtimes, transitions and educational visits Promote inclusion, well-being and safeguarding at all timesTraining:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Training delivered in partnership with Rochdale Training through structured off-the-job learning and in-school mentoring

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, term-time only. Typical hours: 30+ per week (to be confirmed with school).
